Programmable drives: what does it mean?
Ever Elettronica programmable drives represent a novelty on the automation market, as they integrate unique functions in this field.
The concept of “programmable drives” comes from the idea of integrating a real PLC on the drive in order to be able to create complex automations with a single device.
The programmable drives for brushless motors and stepper motors are able to read digital or analog sensors, to control the digital outputs and to time events by synchronizing the motor control with a real time of a few microseconds; such an high real time would be very difficult to achieve with a classic architecture with separate drives and PLCs.
Development environments
The programming of our drives for stepper motors and brushless motors takes place through the E3PLC development environments, characterized by an intuitive interface and designed for non-expert programmers.
The ease of use is given by the visual programming, which allows you not to write lines of code but simply to recall blocks and instructions from a command interface guided in each step.
A dedicated firmware
The PC development environments of our drives for brushless motors and stepper motors are combined with firmware with multiple functions such as: homing, start & stop from trigger signal, electric shaft, electronic cam and many others, which are the result of 45 years of experience in industrial automation and technology for brushless motors and stepper motors.
Integrated PLC and machine PLC
Choosing a programmable drive for brushless motors and stepper motors does not necessarily mean you don’t have a machine PLC: Ever Elettronica programmable drives for brushless motors and stepper motors are always equipped with a fieldbus in order to communicate with the main PLCs present on the market (Siemens and Omron, for example) based on Ethercat, Profinet, Modbus TCP / IP, Canopen and Modbus RTU fieldbuses.
The programmable drives for the control of stepper motors and brushless motors, put in complex automations, simplify the work of the main PLC, managing a particular function or part of the machine with a real time that only a programmable drive could guarantee.
Programmable drives and multiple architectures
Automation manufacturers are increasingly forced to use PLCs or controllers of different brands in relation to the country in which the automation will be exported: this considerably complicates the work of software designers, as they have to manage and update software made on different architectures.
In this context, programmable drives for the control of brushless motors and stepper motors are very useful: they allow not to modify the part of the machine controlled by the programmable drive.
The same operation is also guaranteed through fieldbus.
A unique offer suitable for all needs
Our range of programmable drives for stepper motors and brushless motors is very wide; our programmable drives are based on different fieldbuses, from the classic Modbus RTU and Canopen fiedlbuses to the modern, fast and performing fieldbuses required by the “Smart Factory” based on Ethernet such as Profinet, Modbus TCP / IP and Ethercat fieldbuses.
The smart drives we offer are available both with "wall mounting" format, that is suitable for panel installation, and with electronics integrated into the motor (our "Smart Motors").
