Pulse&direction drive:
- Easy product configuration (dipswitch/rotoswitch, no software configuration required)
- Cheap
- Open loop movements
- No specific software knowledge required
- Automation logic is managed by the master
Fieldbus drive
- Can be integrated into third-party ecosystems (through Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP, CANopen and Modbus RTU fieldbuses)
- Simplified wiring due to the ability to manage many axes on a single line of communication
Programmable drive
- Programmability allows to have automation functions without an external master (motor's movement or I/O management)
- High response speed
- Some functions are managed directly from the drive while others through fieldbuses
